Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker Ltd in Amberley, Ontario, is seeking a Facility Assistant II to support grain movement, sampling, and facility operations. You will load/unload shipments, collect and test grain samples, and assist in blending fertilizer while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

The role requires 2+ years of general labour experience, a Class G license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a dust-prone environment; hydraulic/electrical knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a general labour role, preferably in agriculture.
• Knowledge of hydraulic machinery and electrical systems is an asset.
• Class G driver's license.
• Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs) and work in dusty environments.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments.
• Collecting, testing, and recording grain samples.
• Exercising competency in grading commodities.
• Operate machinery with confidence and precision.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations to blend fertilizer.
• Regular facility maintenance and housekeeping.

Your Role

As Facility Assistant II, you will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operation of the facility.

Day to Day

• Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments
• Collecting, testing, and recording grain samples

Required Qualifications
