Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) is seeking a Facility Assistant I to support grain facility operations. You will collect and test grain samples, assist with handling crop input products, and maintain day-to-day site housekeeping while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Experience in general labour, a willingness to work in all weather, and a valid driver's license are preferred. The role requires physical work and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Experience in general labour, preferably in agriculture or farming.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in dusty environments.
• Willing to work flexibly in all weather conditions.

Your Team

Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed.

As a Facility Assistant I, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operations of the grain facility.

• Collecting and testing grain samples
• Handling and delivering crop input products
• Regular facility maintenance and housekeeping
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment

What You’ll Bring

• Experience with general labour, preferably in agriculture and/or farming
• Experience working in a customer service role is a plus
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
• Must be able to work in environments subject to dust and allergens
• Willing to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions
