Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) is seeking a Facility Assistant I to support Grain & Crop Inputs operations at our Alberta grain facility. You will move and sample grain and help execute daily processes in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires general labour experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You’ll work with a team to maintain safety and efficiency across shift schedules and weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience with general labour, preferably in agriculture.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Work environments may be dusty or contain allergens.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Collect and test grain samples as part of daily duties.
• Handle and deliver crop input products to designated locations.
• Perform regular facility maintenance and housekeeping.

Your Team

Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed.

As a Facility Assistant I, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operations of the grain facility.

Day to Day

• Collecting and testing grain samples
• Handling and delivering crop input products
• Regular facility maintenance and housekeeping
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment

What You’ll Bring

• Experience with general labour, preferably in agriculture and/or farming
• Experience working in a customer service role is a plus
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
• Must be able to work in environments subject to dust and allergens
• Willing to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions
