Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Facility Administrator to manage mail, shipping/receiving, and on-site services, ensuring smooth operations across the site. You will handle interdepartmental mail, maintain records, coordinate corporate events, and support facilities staff.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs are required. This role offers exposure to facility operations within a large, service-driven organization with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Post- secondary education is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer shipping and receiving requests for mail packages, tracking and documenting.
  • Sort and deliver incoming mail to departments and employees for timely distribution.
  • Picks, sorts and delivers interdepartmental mail and processes outgoing mail.
  • Operate mail machines (postage meter, photocopier, mail folding/inserting).
  • Maintain records of receipt, mailing dates and other required information.
  • Maintain Site Procedure Guide and update revisions as needed.
  • Coordinate corporate events and set up, review work order backlog and arrange repairs.

Job Summary

Now, if you were to come on board as our Facility Administrator, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Manage customer shipping and receiving requests for mail packages: tracking, documenting, preparing packages, and mail delivery within the site.
  • Sorts and delivers incoming mail by the department and/or employee to ensure timely distribution.
  • Picks, sorts and delivers interdepartmental mail.
  • Processes and weighs outgoing mail.
  • Operates mail machines including postage meter, photocopying machine, and mail folding and inserting machine.
  • Maintains records of receipt, mailing dates, and other required information.
  • Maintain Site Procedure Guide describing processes and procedures for all services, providing updates as revisions are made.
  • Complete custom clearance for packages as applicable.
  • Complete minor facilities PMs such as fire extinguisher checks, eye wash checks, etc.
  • Submit work requests/work orders as needed for facilities-related issues.
  • Corporate events coordination and set up.
  • Review work order backlog and coordinate repairs with onsite staff and contractors when needed.
  • Issue uniforms to the employees and maintains uniform repair repository.
  • Order supplies for the mail room, printing equipment, facilities supplies, cleaning supplies, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by Facilities management.
