Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Aide to assist with day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of the facility at our Manitoba location. The role supports the ESFM division, performing routine tasks and responding to repair requests to ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for staff and clients.

You will handle light to moderate maintenance duties, support front desk operations, and contribute to proactive inspections and ticketing.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Physical ability to perform duties, including heavy lifting.
  • Comfortable with heavy walking around the facility.
  • Ability to operate manual or electric tools.
  • Ability to work independently as well as get along with others.
  • Highly detail oriented and capable of multitasking.
  • Awareness of safety practices and regulations.
  • Computer skills for communication and updating tickets.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance on the facility including: changing light bulbs, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, minor plumbing and tile repair.
  • Repair interior walls and install drywall for repair or replacement.
  • Inspect the facility to detect malfunctions and conduct repairs accordingly.
  • Ad-Hoc duties such as window and door repairs, mounting curtain poles, track and fixture shelves.
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned (custodial duties, administrative duties).
  • Complete preventative maintenance and annual inspections.
  • Room setups and furniture reconfiguration/moves as required.
  • Service and update online service tickets/work orders.
  • Duties will include maintenance-related cleaning, restocking supplies/dispensers and sanitizing areas.
  • Coverage and support for office front desk and parcels/mail as required.

The hourly wage range for this position is $25.00 – $35.00/hour Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Job Summary

Qualifications
