Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Handyman to assist with day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of our facilities across Canada. You will perform regular maintenance, carpentry, painting, drywall and minor plumbing tasks to keep spaces safe and functional.

The role requires clear English communication, a valid driver’s license, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently or with others while following safety rules and using the proper tools.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
• Valid Driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of this position.
• Comfortable with heavy lifting and extensive walking around the facility.
• Ability to operate related equipment such as manual or electric tools.
• Ability to work independently as well as get along with others.
• Highly detail oriented with multitasking ability.
• Aware of safe use of equipment, site safety practices, fire prevention and work regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on the facility including changing light bulbs, carpentry, painting, minor drywall repair, minor plumbing, and tile repair.
• Repairing interior walls, installing drywall for repair or replacement.
• Inspect the facility and other structures to detect malfunctions, furniture maintenance and conduct repairs accordingly.
• Ad-hoc duties such as window and door repairs, mounting curtain poles, track, and fixture shelves.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The hourly wage rate for this position is $37.62 . Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. As a Handyman, You Will

• Perform regular maintenance on the facility including changing light bulbs, carpentry, painting, minor drywall repair, minor plumbing, and tile repair
