Job summary

COFOMO in Montreal seeks an Expert Functional Analyst to translate business needs into functional requirements within an Agile project environment. You will write detailed analyses and ensure traceability from business goals to technical solutions.

You will develop user stories, participate in design and acceptance testing, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver compliant and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a functional analyst in information technology.
• Experience in a banking environment is required or highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Agile development methodologies and creating user stories in an Agile context.

Both strategic and tactical, we help organizations across a wide range of industries thrive in today’s rapidly evolving world.## Our promiseHelp our clients succeed and maximize the impact of their transformation initiatives, turning them into powerful drivers of growth and innovation.## Job description**Here's a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities you'll have :*** Accompany partners in their process of defining and evolving business or technical solutions;* Analyze and question business needs and architectural requirements in order to translate them into functional requirements while ensuring the traceability of requirements;* Write detailed functional analyses aligned with the business needs and directions of the solution, then validate them with stakeholders;* Produce documentation necessary for functional analysis, including use cases, sequence diagrams, and other relevant deliverables;* Design solutions that comply with established functional and technical standards and support their development;* Perform functional tests and assist the teams responsible for acceptance tests in their preparation and implementation;* Diagnose anomalies, coordinate resolution activities and ensure the proper functioning of solutions;* Evaluate the impacts of changes and recommend adjustments required to maintain the quality of solutions;* Understand conceptual and physical data models in order to support analysis and evolution of solutions;* Apply new methodologies and work practices that contribute to the achievement of organizational objectives. **The profile we are looking for is as follows:*** Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or equivalent;* Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in information technology as a functional analyst;* Experience in a banking environment;* Master Agile development methodologies and their application in the context of technology projects;* Produce detailed and relevant user stories in an Agile development context;* Get to know the Atlassian suite, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket;* Demonstrate hands-on experience with automated quality assurance testing;* Knowledge of behavior-driven programming (BDD) (an asset);* Understand the concepts, technologies and solutions related to modern digital platforms, including microservices, APIs, real-time data feeds, orchestration and automated transaction processing, as applied to customer data management (an asset);* Knowledge of Master Data Management principles (an asset);* Proficiency in UML and BPMN notations (an asset);* Have relevant knowledge of data integration or data management;* Develop excellent problem-solving skills;* Collaborate effectively with teams and business partners;* Demonstrate autonomy and proactivity in carrying out his/her mandates;* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary collaborative context;* Communicate and document effectively in French and English;* Demonstrate rigor and constant attention to detail;* Adapt to an ever-changing technologically, organizationally and operationally changing environment.Apply
