Job summary

Encore Canada seeks an Events Supervisor to ensure the efficient execution of events in a hotel/convention center setting in Vancouver. You will supervise AV technicians, manage equipment, and oversee customer service while coordinating with Account Executives and facility staff.

The role requires strong planning, cost control of direct labor, and attention to post-event reporting. You will schedule, train staff, participate in meetings, and uphold Encore service standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize all logistics for events with operators, focusing on controlling direct labor costs.
• Review work orders for equipment and manpower; coordinate changes with Account Executives.
• Assist Account Executives with quotes and work orders as required.
• Plan and add cabling, accessories and back-up equipment to work-orders.
• Ensure Show Resume and Floor Plan accompany work-orders.
• Confirm operational details with facility representatives and clients.
• Coordinate timelines with other event suppliers.
• Order power drops as required.
• Plan and arrange special transport for large events.
• Organize tie-down meetings for assigned events.
• Ensure paperwork is remitted with operative documents for execution.
• Conduct event evaluations and post-event audits as required.
• Prepare daily works orders and assist with job costing.
• Ensure Post Meeting Reports are completed for closing.
