Job summary

Northland Properties is seeking an Event Coordinator to supervise events and collaborate with the Sales, Catering, Banquet Managers, and restaurant teams. You will mentor staff, uphold department standards, and positively influence location success.

You will work with chefs, the General Manager, and event leaders across the hotel division, ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth event operations.

Qualifications

• Meticulous attention to detail in event planning and execution.
• Proven leadership abilities to mentor a team of event staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication for client and team interactions.
• Experience coordinating events and managing guest inquiries, quotes, invoices and issues.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control events in the facility to high standards.
• Provide leadership, training, and mentorship for the event team.
• Manage guest inquiries and customer service, including quotes, invoices and complaints.
• Plan event inventory and oversee scheduling and labour control.
• Attend weekly meetings with Chef and Event Manager to ensure culinary excellence.
• Oversee event execution: room setup, task delegation, and quality control.
