Job summary

Encore Global seeks a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hotel/convention environment in Jasper. You will collaborate with event staff, ensure equipment works smoothly, and monitor guest satisfaction throughout events.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, 1 year of hospitality or AV experience, and a valid driver’s license. Training to Technical Level 3 and knowledge of safety protocols are expected within the first 6–12 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or better required.
• Associate degree is preferred.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in educational environment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for team members who may operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and strike basic audiovisual equipment per event needs.
• Exceed customer expectations and maintain positive client relationships on-site.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment and software issues and follow venue safety procedures.
• Complete orders, paperwork, and equipment logs accurately using Navigator or similar systems.
• Load/unload/store gear, label and scan equipment as required, and assist with invoicing where applicable.
