Job summary

Encore in a hotel/convention center environment is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems for events, ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth execution.

The role requires a High School Diploma (Associate preferred), Technical Level 3 Certification, and at least one year of customer service/hospitality experience plus AV exposure; a valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Technical Level 3 Certification within 180 days.
  • 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in educational environment preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
  • Additional DOT requirement may need to be met if applicable.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and breakdown basic audiovisual equipment for events.
  • Strive to exceed customer expectations and maintain client relationships on site.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and software issues and follow safety protocols.
  • Handle equipment sheets and invoicing in collaboration with clients and staff.
  • Load/unload or store gear and prepare, label, and scan equipment as needed.
