Job summary

A leading emergency restoration company in Innisfil, Ontario is seeking an Estimator responsible for assessing damages and preparing estimates for restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent organization skills, be comfortable with computers, and learn quickly. Candidates will work closely with project managers and must be able to prepare estimates in a timely manner. This role offers a competitive salary of $50,000 and benefits after 3 months. Job description
BASIC FUNCTIONS

Estimate loss on Emergency and Restoration Projects.

Paul Davis Simcoe County is an Emergency Restoration Company. We often deal with Residential and Commercial properties who have experienced water damage, fire damage or wind damage.

The Estimator would be responsible for staying on top of claims that come in and ensuring we upload estimates within the program requirements for specific losses/carriers. You will be provided a scope from the project managers who will also provide you with a sketch and measurements for you to then build in the computer systems. You will then be responsible to send a copy to the assigned Project Managers to review for approval and to then you will upload within the system for the specific carrier. You will need to track estimated you upload on a weekly basis and information you are awaiting for. You will also be required to do revisions when needed on estimates. You will need to learn each carriers protocols in order to follow their requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS
  • Professionally represent the Paul Davis principles of honesty and integrity.
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Xactimate and/or Symbility experience is an asset.
  • Basic construction experience is an asset.
  • Receive Scope from project managers
  • Prepare estimate in a timely fashion (typically within 48 hours of the inspection or according to program requirements for specific losses/carriers).
  • Review Estimate with Project Managers to ensure nothing is missed
  • Deliver necessary paperwork to administrative department.
  • Work towards ensuring nothing is missed on estimates in order to make profit on each job.
  • Monitor claims from adjusters for any revisions needed.

Experience is a bonus but more than happy to train someone willing to learn a new business. Having experience with computers will be a must as majority of work will be done on multiple computer systems!

Compensation: $50,000.00 per year
