Job summary

Indigo Park Canada is seeking Parking Enforcement Officers in Vancouver to patrol assigned areas by vehicle and ensure parking regulations are followed while delivering outstanding customer service.

Ideal candidates will be safe drivers with a professional demeanor, able to work independently, handle stressful situations, and clearly communicate with the public. Uniforms are provided and growth opportunities exist within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Valid full provincial drivers license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with handheld devices and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol an assigned area by vehicle.
  • Issue warnings and quotes for illegally parked vehicles (using LPR vehicle system).
  • Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes.
  • Arrange for tows for illegally parked or abandoned vehicles and direct tow-truck drivers.
  • Observe and report hazardous conditions such as unsafe signage.
  • Prepare and maintain records for parking enforcement and quotes.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies such as handheld devices and quote books.
  • Provide information to the public regarding parking regulations and facilities.
  • Inform the public about policies, services or procedures.
  • Identify stolen or counterfeit parking permits.
  • Duties as assigned by manager.

Responsibilities
  • Patrol an assigned area by vehicle
  • Issue warnings and quotes for illegally parked vehicles (using LPR vehicle system)
  • Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes
  • Make arrangements for illegally parked or abandoned vehicles to be towed, and direct tow-truck drivers to the correct vehicles
  • Observe and report hazardous conditions such as replacement of unsafe signage within lot, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain required records, records of parking enforcement, operational records and records of quoted quotations
  • Maintain assigned equipment and supplies such as hand-held computers, quote book, etc.
  • Provide information to the public regarding parking regulations and facilities
  • Inform the public about policies, services or procedures
  • Identify stolen, and counterfeit parking permits
  • Duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Cautious and courteous driver, with a valid full provincial drivers license and a clean driving record
  • Confidence in problem solving and ability to manage stressful situations
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate both written and verbally
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of handheld computer, personal computer (Windows XP/Mobile) and mobile phone features
