Job summary

Indigo Park Canada in Vancouver is seeking Parking Enforcement Officers who enjoy being on the move, work independently, and deliver excellent customer service. You will patrol assigned areas by vehicle, issue warnings, and coordinate tow arrivals when needed.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Valid full provincial driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Confidence in problem solving and ability to manage stressful situations.
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate both written and verbally.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of handheld computer, Windows XP/Mobile and mobile phone features.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol an assigned area by vehicle.
  • Issue warnings and quotes for illegally parked vehicles (using LPR vehicle system).
  • Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes.
  • Make arrangements for illegally parked or abandoned vehicles to be towed, and direct tow-truck drivers to the correct vehicles.
  • Observe and report hazardous conditions such as replacement of unsafe signage within lot, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain required records, records of parking enforcement, operational records and records of quoted quotations.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and supplies such as hand-held computers, quote book, etc.
  • Provide information to the public regarding parking regulations and facilities.
  • Inform the public about policies, services or procedures.
  • Identify stolen, and counterfeit parking permits.
  • Duties as assigned by manager
