Job summary

Wesco is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to engage with existing customers, drive order growth, and upsell electrical products and services. You will collaborate with outside sales to meet targets, maintain orders, and provide proactive product support to diverse construction customers.

You will manage quotations, review backorders, and identify continuous improvements in processes while working in a team environment. Expect a base salary with commission and a benefits program.

Qualifications

• Electrical knowledge preferred
• High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Requires knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration; 2-4 years of production-ready contribution
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, and ability to perform basic computer skills
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Working in team environment
• Clear verbal and written communication
• Attention to detail
• Ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and potentially new accounts
• Ability to work independently with general supervision
• Ability to travel 0% - 25%
• Role includes commission in addition to base salary with earnings tied to sales performance

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth by providing expert product support and solutions for electrical contractors and construction customers
• Obtains orders through email and telephone calls, verifies items and enters orders
• Increases orders by suggesting related items and reviewing buying history
• Owns and develops opportunities from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts
• Identifies ways for continuous improvement of processes
• Prepares, generates, and follows up on quotations to secure orders
• Reviews open customer order reports and takes action on open items
• Maintains distribution system backorder and expediting reports and customer notices
• Reports industry trends, competitive pricing and customer feedback to management
