Responsibilities

Designs develops and tests electrical and / or electronic equipment components circuits or systems. Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs. Typically reports to a manager.

Work is independent. Leads small-to-medium sized engineering projects or manages technical work packages within cost and quality requirements as assigned and allocates or coordinates work with the project or work package.

Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability performance and safety standards are achieved. Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products. Develops solutions and solves complex problems to deliver engineering projects on-time on-quality and on-budget directly impacting positive project outcomes for a variety of circumstances. May assume a team lead role for the work group and / or act as a specialist on complex technical and business matters. Develops processes for team and influences decisions by providing advanced technical advice to team(s). Remains current on trends and emerging technologies and tools. May estimate engineering packages of work to identify dependencies and ensure the delivery. Coaches and advises more junior team members. Estimates engineering packages of work to identify dependencies and ensure the deliverability of assigned work packages. May include safety environmental protection and compliance.

Typically a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 7 years of experience within a relevant complex engineering environment.

Will be required to maintain security clearance
