The Position – Level 2/3 Electrical Apprentices

We are seeking motivated Apprentice Electricians to join our team. These positions are designed to provide hands‑on learning while supporting shop activities such as fabrication, assembly, and material preparation, as well as assisting at client sites as needed.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills under the guidance of experienced tradespeople, contribute meaningfully to both shop and field operations, and gain exposure to industrial environments. MSCP provides highly innovative technical and organizational solutions for Heat Management in the Energy sector. It was founded in 2011 to assist the Oil and Gas Industry but it is rapidly expanding into water treatment and renewables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support journeyperson electricians with shop‑based tasks including material prep, wiring assemblies, and component testing.
  • Assist in pulling wire, installing conduit, and preparing electrical fixtures.
  • Learn to interpret drawings and specifications under supervision.
  • Keep shop tools and workspaces organized and safe.
  • Provide assistance on‑site when required, including supporting installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting tasks.
General Duties
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety in both shop and field environments.
  • Accurately record hours and work activities on timesheets.
  • Participate in training and mentorship to advance apprenticeship levels.
  • Perform other duties as directed by journeypersons or supervisors.
Qualifications
  • Apprentice Electrician 2/3 in Alberta.
  • College Technical Diploma or University Degree for non‑registered apprentices preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and working at heights.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation (required for potential site work).
  • Safety certifications (CSTS, WHMIS, etc.) considered an asset.
