Rate of Pay

This is a 10-month position with a work schedule in accordance with the school year calendar which includes time off at Christmas, March Break and Summer break.

The starting annual salary for a 100% position is $35,817.70 including 4% vacation pay. Rates are based on a five (5) step scale with step increases occurring annually in accordance with the Collective Agreement as shown below.

EPAs are paid every two weeks with the annual salary paid across 12 months (August 1st to July 31st) for working a 10-month school year. The annual salary for term positions less than a school year is pro-rated over the length of the term.

Daily Hours of Work

  • 50% Position = 3.5 hours (includes one 15 minute paid break)
  • 80% Position = 6.1 hours (includes ½ hour unpaid lunch and two 15 minute paid breaks)
  • 100% Position = 7.5 hours (includes ½ hour unpaid lunch and two 15 minute paid breaks)
