We are currently seeking an experienced Rock Driller to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for operating drilling equipment and contributing to the safe and efficient progress of construction projects.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate hydraulic and pneumatic rock drill rigs (e.g., Atlas Copco D60, Furukawa DCR20)
  • Drill blast holes in accordance with engineered patterns and depth specifications
  • Perform daily pre‑operational inspections and basic maintenance on drill equipment
  • Ensure drill sites and access roads are kept clean, safe, and organized
  • Record drilling activity and equipment condition accurately
  • Collaborate with blasting teams to ensure accuracy and site safety
  • Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE at all times
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by site supervisors or safety personnel
Job Requirements

Language: English

Education: Diploma or apprentice training of 6 months to 2 years

Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of drilling experience in quarry or heavy civil environments preferred
  • Experience with Atlas Copco or Furukawa rigs is an asset
  • Familiarity with quarry production methods and rock materials preferred
  • Safety certifications such as WHMIS, First Aid, or Surface Miner are considered assets
  • Physically capable of working in all weather conditions
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
  • Comfortable reading drilling patterns and operating manuals
  • Able to work safely around heavy machinery and in high‑noise environments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
