Qualifications
- 5+ years doing interior carpentry repairs/restoration.
- Leadership to guide helpers and train less experienced workers.
- Refined skills with various in-home renovation repairs/restoration vs new build.
- Attention to detail, passion for quality and pride in the work you do.
- Tools and the skills to use them.
- Strong people and communication skills.
- A safety mindset.
- Willingness to cross train into other departments.
- Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps and software).
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to pass a criminal record check
- Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken
Responsibilities
- Finishing work and fine details, rough and trim
- Installation, doors, trim, moldings, baseboards and hardware
- Repairs to wooden structures of all sorts
- Drywall repairs, mudding, sanding, taping and finishing
- Brush and roller painting (could include walls, ceilings, trim)
- Ceiling installation, knockdown and texturing
- Insulation and vapour barrier installation
- Cabinetry (removal, repair, reinstallation)
- Flooring installation and repairs
- Framing
