About the Role

The Director of Financial Services is a member of the senior management team and is accountable for all financial matters of the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce including the preparation of financial statements, variance analyses, and reports for the Board of Directors.

A key function of this position is the development and alignment of long and short-term financial strategy, reporting, policies, procedures, and infrastructure to support organizational decision-making needs to ensure the organization remains fiscally sustainable, efficient, and accountable.

The salary range for this position is between $90,300-$100,500 per annum. The successful candidate will generally need to be on‑site at our downtown office in Owen Sound; however, flexible work arrangements will be available based on business needs.

About You

You are a passionate service‑oriented leader and an excellent communicator with a proven track record of mentoring staff, building relationships, and running an efficient and effective financial services department.

You possess a university degree in a related field (i.e. finance, commerce) coupled with CPA designation, 5 years of post‑designation experience, as well as 3 years of progressive, results oriented management, preferably in the non‑profit sector. You have experience reporting to an Audit and Finance Committee and experience working with key stakeholders, funders, and related government agencies.
