Overview

Finance Director – Tech Firm | Downtown Toronto | Hybrid

Our client is a rapidly scaling technology firm with nearly 80 employees and a projected growth trajectory of 15%-20% CAGR over the next decade. The firm is seeking a Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership during its next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support business growth and profitability
  • Oversee financial operations including accounting, AR, AP, payroll, and compliance
  • Manage and develop a team of 4 direct reports :
  • Finance & Accounting Manager
  • Accounts Receivable Specialist
  • Accounts Payable Specialist
  • Payroll Specialist
  • Direct quarterly and year-end financial closings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
  • Drive process improvements and implement scalable financial systems to support rapid growth
  • Partner with leadership on financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Support technology integration and data migration initiatives, ensuring accurate financial data across platforms
  • Provide executive leadership with timely insights on cash flow, profitability, and growth opportunities
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making
Qualifications
  • CPA designation (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of progressive finance / accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in the technology or SaaS sector is a strong asset
  • Solid knowledge of financial systems, ERP, and cloud-based integration tools
  • Strong background in data migration, systems integration, and process automation
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership
