Job description

Manitobah is dedicated to a greater cultural diversity throughout our business operations and hiring process. Manitobah is committed to hiring Indigenous employees wherever possible. Applicants are strongly encouraged to self-declare.

Are you a hands-on eCommerce leader with deep Shopify Plus expertise and high standards to match? Are you looking to elevate a purpose-driven brand? If so, we want you to join our team!

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Director of eCommerce is the operational and commercial hub of Manitobah's online retail business, responsible for the day-to-day performance, presentation, and continuous improvement of Manitobah's Shopify storefronts. The Director leads a small, focused team and directs Manitobah's third-party Shopify development agency. The primary focus of this role is Manitobah's DTC storefronts (Canadian and US), with secondary oversight of the B2B/wholesale portal.

WHAT WE OFFER

Manitobah offers a comprehensive total compensation package which includes an annual base salary, group benefits, flexible work hours, generous paid time off, 50% discount on our retail products, professional development, and our newest benefit offering called Group Savings Program.

  • Develop and maintain a rigorous product taxonomy, ensuring collections, tags, filters, and search are structured to support discoverability and a logical customer journey.
  • Execute and continuously optimize on-site merchandising — including collection sequencing, featured product placement, cross-selling, upselling, and bundling strategies — to drive average order value and sell-through.
  • Lead the eCommerce go-to-market process for all new product launches, seasonal drops, and promotional campaigns.
  • Own the CRO program for Manitobah's DTC storefronts — maintaining an active testing roadmap that targets conversion rate, add-to-cart rate, checkout completion, and average order value.
  • Own eCommerce performance reporting — tracking key metrics including revenue, sessions, conversion rate, AOV, bounce rate, and channel contribution against targets, and reporting results and recommendations to the SVP and cross-functional leadership on a regular cadence.
