Job Title: Digital Learning Coordinator Grade Levels: 7-12 Organization: STEM Innovation Academy

Education and Experience

Our Digital Learning Coordinator plays a crucial role in integrating cutting-edge technology with pedagogical excellence to create engaging STEM learning environments.

Position Summary

The Digital Learning Coordinator serves as a key leader in promoting, implementing, and supporting the integration of educational technology across all disciplines for grades 7-12. This position combines technical expertise with instructional design to enhance student achievement through innovative technology solutions, professional development, and collaborative curriculum planning.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Technology Integration and Instruction

· Lead the integration of educational technology tools specifically designed for STEM education, including robotics platforms, programming environments, CAD software, data analysis tools, and simulation software

· Implement and support Artificial Intelligence tools and platforms for educational purposes

· Deliver and manage extended reality (XR) headsets and integrate Virtual Reality (VR) and XR learning experiences into the curriculum such as immersive exploration of scientific concepts, virtual laboratory experiments, and 3D mathematical modeling and more.

· Collaborate with STEM learning leaders and teachers to co-plan and model technology-enhanced lessons that promote inquiry-based learning and problem-solving using cutting-edge technologies

· In conjunction with the Fab Lab technician support implementation of rapid prototyping technologies including 3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting, and other digital fabrication tools into the STEM curriculum

Professional Development and Training

· Together with the STEM Leadership team, co-design and deliver comprehensive professional development programs for faculty, administrators, and staff on educational technology integration

· Conduct needs assessments to identify technology training requirements and preferred learning modalities, particularly for emerging technologies like AI and XR

· Create and maintain training documentation, video tutorials, and resource libraries covering traditional and cutting-edge educational technologies

Curriculum Support

· Partner with STEM learning leaders to align technology integration with STEM learning objectives and standards

· Assist in the development of project-based learning experiences that incorporate multiple technology platforms, including AI-driven data analysis, VR/XR simulations, and complete design-to-prototype workflows using digital fabrication tools

Systems Management and Technical Support

· Coordinate with IT and facilities departments to ensure seamless integration of educational technology, Fab Lab resources and robotics equipment within existing infrastructure

· Troubleshoot technology issues and provide solutions to minimize instructional disruption across digital and physical learning environments

Research and Innovation

· Research and identify emerging and experimental technologies that could transform STEM education

· Evaluate the educational potential of breakthrough technologies before they become mainstream

· Design and implement pilot programs to test innovative technology applications in classroom settings

· Collaborate with universities, research institutions, and technology companies on educational technology research projects

· Analyze global educational technology trends and their potential applications in STEM curricula
