Position

Digital Content Producer (IATSE Local 634)

Hours of Work

Full-Time. 40 hours per week. Shift work and overtime as required.

Responsibilities
  • Generate original stories and publish content for our digital platforms
  • Gather news elements, chase breaking news, and keep published content updated with new developments
  • Proofread and fact check copy using Canadian Press Style ensuring accuracy, consistency and adherence to standards of all online material (headlines, captions, photos, video, etc.)
  • Photo and video editing
  • Curate high-interest digital content from other CTV News stations and pitch local content for cross-publishing consideration
  • Maximize content's discoverability using keywords and SEO practices
  • Research, book, and conduct interviews
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a journalism-specific University or College program
  • Prior newsroom and journalism experience
  • Must have strong writing skills, communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time management, prioritization and multi-tasking abilities and be able to meet constant tight deadlines
  • Prior web publishing experience and familiarity with SEO.
  • Team player and capable of producing quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of the northern Ontario region an asset
  • Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.

Work Arrangement: Full-time in office (meaning that you will be required to perform your work on-site)

For work arrangements that are ‘Hybrid’, successful candidates must be based in Canada and report to a set Bell office for a minimum of 3 days a week. Recognizing the importance of work-life balance, Bell offers flexibility in work hours based on the business needs.
