A major health services provider in Nova Scotia is seeking a Dietitian to provide ethical and competent nutritional care in a variety of health service settings. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition, complete a dietetic internship, and be registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Dietitians. This role includes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and support for health promotion and disease prevention initiatives. The position is part-time with flexible hours.

The Dietitian is responsible and accountable to provide competent, safe and ethical professional practice to the patient/client, family, and community. The Dietitian advises on diet and food and nutrition across all health sectors. This position provides leadership to support the nutritional health of patients, clients, and communities through health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, support and rehabilitation. The Dietitian participates in the Integrated Dietetic Internship program, including preceptoring Dietetic Interns. The Dietitian employs an evidence-informed approach to practice.
As a member of the inter-professional team, the Dietitian collaborates with health care team providers, shares nutrition expertise, ensures quality and continuity of care, and supports a range of health care services. Services are delivered within a holistic, client-centered framework in accordance with our mission, vision, values, and strategic direction.

Permanent, Part-time / 23% FTE / 17.25 hours biweekly. Hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
$37.27 - $50.36 Hourly
