Qualifications

• Must have valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Experience as a dietary aide or in hospitality/customer service.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food to residents or patients in an assisted living or medical facility.
• Assist in basic food preparation and serve meals per therapeutic diets.
• Set, clear, clean, and sanitize dining spaces.
• Maintain cleaning duties or follow daily cleaning schedule.
• Monitor and restock service areas.
• Observe HACCP guidelines for safe handling and preparation.
• Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines when using chemicals.
• Support with special function catering as delegated.
