Job summary

Compass Group Canada is hiring a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals in assisted living or medical facilities. You will assist in basic food preparation, serve meals per therapeutic diets, and ensure safe dining environments.

You will follow HACCP and WHMIS guidelines, maintain dining spaces, restock service areas, and support special catering duties. The role requires a valid Food Handler Certificate and the ability to work independently or as part of a team with good interpersonal

Qualifications

Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
Experience in dietary aide or hospitality/customer service.
Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
Ability to prepare meals according to instructions.
Good time-management and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical ability to perform duties.

Responsibilities

Assist in basic food preparation and serve meals per therapeutic diets and portion standards.
Set, clear, clean, and sanitize dining spaces.
Maintain cleaning duties or follow the posted schedule for that day.
Monitor and restock service areas.
Observe HACCP guidelines for safe handling and preparation.
Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines with cleaning agents.
Support with special function catering as delegated.
