Trail Appliances’ Designer Sales team is a specialized, relationship-driven group that works closely with the design and build community across the Lower Mainland. This role is about credibility, follow-through, and ownership, not transactional selling or quick wins.

Who This Role Is For

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

Prefer long-cycle, trust-based relationships over fast, transactional sales

Enjoy managing multiple moving parts and solving problems as they arise

Are commercially minded but relationship-first

Take ownership and follow things through — even when it’s uncomfortable

Communicate clearly and professionally with designers, clients, and internal teams

Stay organized and calm in environments where details matter

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Designer Relationships & Business Development

Build and maintain long‑term relationships with interior designers, builders, and trade partners

Become a trusted extension of your designers’ businesses — someone they rely on for clarity, responsiveness, and solutions

Grow and manage a portfolio of active design relationships over time

Project-Based Sales & Specification

Support appliance selection and specification for custom homes and renovations.

Manage projects from early planning through order placement, delivery, and post‑sale follow‑up

Translate design intent, technical requirements, and budgets into accurate, well‑structured orders

Coordination & Problem Solving

Work cross‑functionally with logistics, service, purchasing, and admin teams to move projects forward

Anticipate challenges related to lead times, changes, and installation constraints

Proactively communicate, course‑correct, and keep projects on track

Brand & Community Engagement

Represent Trail Appliances as a professional, reliable partner in the design community

Participate in curated designer events, learning sessions, and industry initiatives

Contribute to a team culture that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

What This Role Is Not

Not a quick‑commission, high‑pressure churn environment

Not a role where problems get handed off to someone else

Not suited for someone who needs rigid structure or constant direction

What We’re Looking For

Experience in sales, design, construction, appliances, or a related industry

Prior experience working with interior designers, builders, or trade professionals is a strong asset

Comfort managing detailed orders, systems, and documentation

Strong communication, organization, and follow‑through

Resilience and adaptability in a fast‑moving, project‑based environment

Why Join Trail’s Designer Sales Team

Be part of a highly respected Designer Sales group with deep roots in the design community

Work with premium appliance brands and best‑in‑class showroom environments

Leadership that values trust, autonomy, and accountability

A collaborative, low‑ego team culture

Real relationship depth and long‑term career growth
