Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Vernon, BC is hiring a Delivery Driver to bring groceries from the store to customers' doors with a focus on Customer First Service. Open availability is preferred and you will work with the online shopping team to resolve issues while meeting department standards.

The role requires a BC Class 5 license, a clean driving record, and a willingness to obtain Serving It Right. Proficiency with mobile tech and GPS is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Valid, full BC Class 5 driver's license.
• Clean driving record.
• Current Serving It Right certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, pushing, and delivering in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency with mobile technology, including GPS navigation and smartphones.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a fully equipped van with customer-first service.
• Collaborate with online shopping team and customer service to resolve returns/refund issues.
• Meet operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operate the delivery vehicle safely in compliance with road rules.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle's cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are hiring for a Delivery Driver at our Save-On-Foods locations in Vernon, BC.

Open Availability Is Preferred.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering groceries in a fully equipped van and providing exceptional customer-first service.
• Working with the online shopping team and customer service center to resolve customer service recovery situations involving returns, refunds, etc.
• Achieving operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operating the delivery vehicle safely adhering to the rules of the road.
• Maintaining the delivery vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Other duties as assigned.

You have:

• A valid, full class 5 provincial driver’s license from BC.
• A clean driver’s abstract.
• A current Serving It Right certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in a customer service-related role.
• A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, pushing, and making deliveries in all weather conditions, both days and evenings.
• Proficiency in using mobile technology, including GPS applications and smartphones.
