Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a Delivery Driver in Victoria, BC. You will deliver groceries in a fully equipped van and provide exceptional customer service, working with the online shopping team to resolve issues such as returns and refunds.

You must have a valid BC Class 5 license, a clean abstract, and Serving It Right certification or be willing to obtain. You should be able to lift up to 40 pounds and operate GPS/mobile apps daily.

Qualifications

• Clean driver’s abstract.
• Serving It Right certification, or willing to obtain.
• Experience in a customer service-related role.
• Strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties.
• Proficient with GPS apps and smartphones.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a fully equipped van and provide customer-first service.
• Collaborate with online shopping team and customer service to resolve returns/refund issues.
• Meet operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operate delivery vehicle safely and follow traffic rules.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and roadworthy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We supply the company vehicle and cover the costs of gas, insurance, and maintenance. Just show up and drive! We are hiring for a Delivery Driver at our Victoria Save-On-Foods locations in Victoria, BC.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering groceries in a fully equipped van and providing exceptional customer-first service.
• Working with the online shopping team and customer service center to resolve customer service recovery situations involving returns, refunds, etc.
• Achieving operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operating the delivery vehicle safely adhering to the rules of the road.
• Maintaining the delivery vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Other duties as assigned.

You have:

• A valid, full class 5 provincial driver’s license from BC.
• A clean driver’s abstract.
• A current Serving It Right certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in a customer service-related role.
• A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties including prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, and pushing.
• Must be able to travel and make deliveries throughout the day and evening in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency in using mobile technology, including GPS applications and smartphones.
