Start Date: February 2026

Compensation: $90,000 - 110,000 + Variable Compensation

About the Role: As the Data Scientist, you will be the technical lead and founding architect for Stoko's business infrastructure. You are responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our data - from the moment a customer clicks an ad to the final insight on a financial dashboard. You will own the tech stack's integrity, ensure our systems scale efficiently, and architect a centralized data warehouse that serves as our single source of truth. You will apply statistical rigor to build the predictive models and advanced analytics that turn raw data into strategic foresight, helping us understand not just where we’ve been, but exactly where we need to go next.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Technical Partnership & Systems Integration:

  • Systems Interconnectivity & Health: Lead contributor responsible for the technical bridge between our core business systems in Marketing, Operations, and Finance, ensuring efficient integration and maintaining high-quality data flow across the organization.
  • Integration Execution: Physically build, troubleshoot, and repair API integrations and system connections as needed.

Data Warehousing & Architecture:

  • Warehouse Migration: Lead the transition from manual exports to a centralized data warehouse (e.g., BigQuery or Snowflake).
  • ETL/ELT Logic: Automate data flows from Shopify, Meta, Tatari, etc. to ensure data is transformed into clean, usable formats.
  • Data Hygiene: Own data quality across all platforms to ensure consistency and reliability for all stakeholders.

Advanced Business Intelligence & Forecasting:

  • Dynamic Modelling: Develop and maintain models for business planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • KPI Measurement: Build and maintain custom dashboards to measure and evaluate KPIs across all departments.
  • Strategic Insights: Analyze operational performance data to identify gaps and provide actionable recommendations.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Product to deliver data visibility and streamline key systems and processes.
  • Technical Bridge: Serve as the bridge between technical systems and business users, translating needs into functional solutions.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or Analytics, Information Systems, or related field/qualification.
  • 3+ years of experience in indicated fields.
  • Mastery of SQL, Python, and Data Modeling (dbt).
  • Experience designing how disparate systems (CRM, ERP, Shopify) interact at scale.
  • Deep understanding of Shopify, Meta, and TV attribution (Tatari).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
Perks and Benefits:

We are a team that loves to laugh together, learn from each other, and take care of one another. As a full‑time employee at Stoko, you will be eligible to receive a health spending account to cover healthcare costs such as dental, vision care, RMT and more. Additionally, Stoko offers flexible schedules, unlimited coffee, team bonding, and an environment that fosters creativity, growth, and real responsibility.
