Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Calgary is seeking a Damage & Collections Clerk to keep our claims operation running smoothly in an in-office setting. You will organize vehicle damage files, investigate claims, maintain records, and communicate with customers and insurers.

The ideal candidate is composed under pressure, skilled at negotiation, meticulous with notes, proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel, and able to manage case administration from start to finish.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of office support experience.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience with direct communication.
• Proven ability to de-escalate disputes over phone and email.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer calls and emails regarding damage claims with tact and professionalism.
• Navigate difficult conversations and maintain composure.
• Generate and send damage invoices, process payments, and log receipts.
• Own the lifecycle of the claim from open to close with persistent follow-ups.
• Review incident reports, enter claims into the database, and assist other teams as needed.
