Job summary

Value Buds Appleby Crossing is seeking a Retail Sales Associate - Cannabis (Customer Experience Rep). You will greet customers, offer product recommendations, and help customers explore cannabis options while maintaining a welcoming store environment.

Ideal candidates bring customer service experience, strong communication, and a cannabis selling certification; minimum age varies by province. You must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Customer service, retail, or hospitality experience is an asset.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell).
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves and support basic inventory tasks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.

About The Role

We're looking for a motivated and dependable Customer Experience Representative to join our team. As a Customer Experience Representative, you'll be the face of our brand, providing exceptional service while helping customers navigate the exciting world of cannabis.
