Job summary

Value Buds Cambridge Tri-City is hiring a Keyholder / Shift Lead to join our cannabis retail team. You’ll be the face of the brand, delivering exceptional service and guiding teammates during your shifts.

You’ll help customers navigate cannabis products, manage daily operations, and ensure POS accuracy while upholding regulatory requirements. This role suits someone who leads by example in a fast-paced store.

Qualifications

• Retail, customer service, or hospitality experience.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell).
• Minimum age 18/19+ depending on province.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Eligible for Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Keyholder to join our team. As a Keyholder, you’ll be the face of our brand, providing exceptional service while helping customers navigate the exciting world of cannabis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during their shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast-paced setting.

What You’ll Do

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer

• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check
