Job description

Overview

We are looking to hire a Core Logging Geologist to join our Exploration team in Timmins, ON, on a full-time basis. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 hrs/day.

Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will assist the underground diamond drill group primarily logging core for the Bell Creek and Timmins West mine sites as well as for various regional exploration projects. You may also be required to assist with creating diamond drillhole layouts, entering daily drill statistics, and sectional interpretations of the targeted zones.

More About You / Qualifications

While our ideal candidate has the following qualifications, we welcome applicants who may not meet every criterion to apply.

• 1-3 years’ experience working on diamond drill projects, conducting a variety of duties to assist the exploration/mine geologist.
• Familiar with logging, sampling of drill core and core handling procedure.
• Experience using computers, Datamine, DHLogger and Microsoft Office programs.
• Must either be an APGO member or be eligible to apply for APGO or GIT membership in the Province of Ontario
• Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada
