Job summary

Con-Test, a division of BGE Indoor Air Quality Solutions, seeks a Field Service Technician (Controlled Environments) to test and certify biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, and cleanroom environments across Southern Ontario, including Mississauga. This role supports universities, hospitals, and pharmaceutical facilities and requires travel within the region.

You will develop advanced diagnostics skills, engage directly with clients, and uphold safety through structured field-based training.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools in prior roles.
• Past working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, or motor repair is beneficial.
• Ability to conduct basic calculations and interpret airflow, pressure, and filtration measurements.
• Understanding of technical documentation such as manufacturer guidelines and SOPs is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Service Delivery - Test and certify biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, clean benches, and cleanroom environments; perform diagnostics and minor repairs.
• Collaboration and communication - Work with supervisors, Regional Managers, and internal teams to ensure quality work and client satisfaction.
• Drive to expand skills and knowledge - Participate in hands-on training and ongoing technical development.
• Commitment to Safety - Maintain a safe work environment, conduct hazard assessments, and travel safely to client sites.
• Travel to client sites within the region to perform required testing and certifications.
