Job description

Salary range: $110,000 – $140,000 (depending on experience)

Skyline Recruitment is currently working with a leading climate and performance engineering consulting firm that is looking to add a Senior Field Technician – Source Emissions to their team in Guelph, Ontario.

This position is ideal for an experienced technician with a strong background in air quality testing and emissions monitoring, looking to take on a role that combines hands-on fieldwork, technical leadership, and client interaction.

The successful candidate will lead stack testing and source emissions monitoring programs across a variety of industrial facilities, while ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining the highest standards of safety and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and perform source emissions testing and stack testing programs
  • Conduct testing in accordance with EPA Reference Methods and ECCC regulatory requirements
  • Plan and coordinate field deployments, crew logistics, and equipment preparation
  • Ensure QA/QC protocols are followed throughout testing and reporting
  • Troubleshoot and maintain analytical and sampling equipment
  • Communicate findings and project updates with clients, regulators, and internal teams
  • Train and mentor junior field technicians
  • Support project scheduling, planning, and reporting
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Environmental Technology, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in air quality testing or source emissions monitoring
  • Experience with EPA source testing methodologies and OSTC procedures
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in industrial environments and outdoor field conditions
  • Comfortable with travel, working at heights, and extended field deployments
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
