Job summary

Green Infrastructure Partners is seeking a Quality Control Technician based in Caledon, Ontario, to support projects across the GTA and Ontario with field testing, sampling and inspection of construction materials. You will work under the Quality/Project Manager or Field Supervisor to ensure quality standards across project sites.

Responsibilities include field testing of asphalt, aggregates, soils and concrete, maintaining records, calibrating equipment, and assisting with laboratory testing.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Civil/Construction Engineering Technology is asset but not required.
• Prior construction project or material testing experience is asset but not required.
• Strong problem-solving and communication with managers, engineers and team members.
• Able to use and maintain hand and power tools.
• Valid G driver's license with clean abstract.
• Able to lift >25 kg.
• Willing to travel across Ontario and work on remote projects.

Responsibilities

• Field inspection and testing of asphalt, aggregates, soils and concrete.
• Field testing including sampling, coring and compaction of various materials.
• Maintain accurate records of testing activities.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment; adhere to safety policies.
• Assist with geotechnical inspections and laboratory testing when required.
• Complete reports and checklists per policies and contract requirements.
• Work on long shifts and extended hours as needed.
