Job summary

Con-Test, a division of BGE Indoor Air Quality Solutions, seeks a Field Service Technician (Controlled Environments) in Vancouver, BC. You will test and certify biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, cleanrooms, and related equipment across universities, hospitals, and labs to ensure safety and compliance.

This role involves regional travel, hands-on diagnostics, and ongoing training to deepen expertise in airflow, filtration, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with hand tools experience.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical wiring or motor repair is beneficial.
• Ability to read technical guidelines and SOPs (NSF/ANSI, ISO, NEBB).

Responsibilities

• Test and certify biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, and cleanroom environments to standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors and internal teams to ensure quality and safety.
• Engage with clients, explain results, and advise on equipment use and maintenance.
• Pursue ongoing technical training and expand certifications.
