Job summary

Berger is seeking an HR Generalist (Contract) based in Oakbank, Manitoba, reporting to the HR Supervisor. The role covers recruitment, onboarding, staff events, and employee relations across multiple sites including Hadashville and Deer Lake.

You will participate in full-cycle recruitment, help onboard new hires, support events and committees, and address employee inquiries with a proactive, collaborative approach. This is a great opportunity to grow within a caring organization.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in HR or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in HR or related internship/co-op.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to Oakbank and other sites.
• Strong initiative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full-cycle recruitment, including organizing and attending recruitment events, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and providing offers.
• Help onboard and integrate new employees.
• Support with various staff events on site and participate on various committees.
• Support employee relations, addressing concerns and inquiries.
