Certainteed has an exciting career opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Manager based in Ottawa. This is a great chance to join a Top Employer and contribute to our growth and success.

What will you do?

Ensure the plant has the necessary capabilities and implementation plans to achieve Continuous Improvement Objectives (World Class Manufacturing) across all facets of the manufacturing environment. The CIM must act as a cultural change agent to successfully implement and sustain new initiatives.

1. Support management in reviewing progress and implementing countermeasures to meet WCM goals.
2. Collect, analyze, and report data to monitor progress against the WCM plan, recommending corrective actions as needed.
3. Ensure effective communication and timely responses to questions to foster understanding and commitment to WCM.
4. Train managers in WCM approaches, tasks, and techniques, and evaluate training effectiveness.
5. Audit, coach, and support teams to meet WCM milestone deadlines.
6. Track and report program benefits and progress to management and regional facilitators.

Is this job for you?

• Degree in a technical field, preferably engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing, progressing from process engineering to management roles.
• Ability to work effectively in a unionized environment.
• Hands-on management style.
• Self-motivated and results-driven.
• Excellent communication skills and openness to change.
• Strong technical and manufacturing process knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Teamwork and coaching abilities.
