Certainteed has an exciting career opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Manager based in Ottawa. This is a great chance to join a Top Employer and contribute to our growth and success.

What will you do?

Ensure the plant has the capabilities and plans to achieve Continuous Improvement Objectives (World Class Manufacturing). The CIM should act as a cultural change agent to implement and sustain new initiatives effectively.

1. Support management in reviewing progress and implementing countermeasures to meet WCM goals.
2. Collect, analyze, and report data on plant progress, recommending actions to address variances.
3. Ensure effective communication and responsiveness to questions to foster understanding and commitment to WCM.
4. Train managers on WCM approaches, tasks, and techniques; review training effectiveness.
5. Audit, coach, and support teams to meet WCM milestone deadlines.
6. Track and report the benefits and progress of the program to management and regional facilitators.

Is this job for you?

1. Technical degree at the university level, with 7+ years’ experience in high-volume manufacturing, progressing from process engineering to management roles.
2. Ability to work in a unionized environment.
3. Hands-on management style, self-motivated, with excellent communication skills.
4. Strong technical and manufacturing process knowledge.
5. Proficient in MS Office applications.
6. Teamwork and coaching abilities.
