A leading recruitment firm in Toronto is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead hotel renovation and capital improvement projects. The ideal candidate has 7–12 years of project management experience, particularly in hospitality settings, with strong organizational and communication skills. This role offers the opportunity to shape project delivery across a national portfolio while working collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Lead end-to-end project management for hotel renovation, redesign, and capital improvement projects.
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders including designers, engineers, trades, and hotel operations teams.
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and reporting, ensuring minimal disruption to guests and hotel operations.
Evaluate drawings, scopes of work, construction schedules, and change orders with accuracy and sound judgment.
Conduct regular on-site visits; ensure compliance with safety regulations and building standards.
Provide regular project updates to the Director of Engineering & Projects and executive partners.
Contribute to refining processes within a recently reorganized project team; help establish consistent standards and workflows.
7–12 years of relevant project management experience.
Strong background in hospitality renovation projects, ideally within multi-property hotel groups or for major hotel brands.
Experience working with real estate investment groups or commercial project portfolios is considered a strong asset.
Solid understanding of design, construction sequencing, procurement, and capital planning.
Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects across various locations.
A proactive communicator with strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with a new and growing team.
Self-starter with strong organizational abilities and a knack for problem‑solving under shifting timelines.
Able and willing to travel frequently based on project stage and site requirements.
