This position is a critical member of the educational solutions team, providing specialized expertise in Linux-based instructional and research computing environments. Key areas include FOG Server administration and imaging workflows, dual-boot Linux/Windows lab environments, virtualization and containerized solutions, and Bash scripting and automation. The role configures, maintains, and troubleshoots complex course-specific systems and specialized computing environments supporting instructional labs and competition events. The position helps ensure secure, reliable, and fit-for-purpose technical environments that are essential to instructional continuity, advanced technical education, and student learning.
Full Job Description
Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or a related Applied Science field and five years of related experience which includes network and systems administration in an environment using Linux and Windows Server and Desktop, Mac OS, Virtualization hypervisors, and clients, storage and processor clusters, firewall and router configuration, network management tools, OS and software deployment and configuration tools, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
