About the Role

Role provides a range of confidential administrative, operations and project support for the Faculty of Education, Office of the Dean. The role coordinates administrative activities and processes related to academic personnel processes and works in consultation with the supervisor to provide policy and procedural information and advice to the Dean, Associate Deans, and the Chair, Tenure and Promotion Committee. The Executive Coordinator provides project support.

The ideal candidate holds experience and knowledge in post‑secondary academic and administrative policies, procedures and services. They are able to recommend and implement policies and procedures for services and operation of the office. They have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), a proactive and organized planner, able to manage their time. Problem solving skills, project coordination and planning skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline and two years of related experience in the coordination of complex administrative processes, and working with senior level administrators, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Excellent knowledge of post‑secondary academic and administrative policies, procedures, and services.
  • Excellent planning and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to summarize complex information into reports.
