Extendicare is seeking a part-time Health Care Aide to support residents with personal care and daily living activities in our Alberta facilities. You will follow the plan of care under supervision, observe resident conditions, assist with transfers, and provide emotional and social support to residents and their families.

The role requires current CLHA registration in Alberta, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Health Care Aides (CLHA), in Alberta.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to perform personal care tasks with residents.

Responsabilités

• Adhere to the plan of care as determined by the supervisor.
• Assist residents with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to supervisor.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation as needed.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to residents and families.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Promote a safe and clean environment and proper handling of equipment.
• Engage with other agencies involved in resident care as directed.
• Attend in-services to develop knowledge and skills.
