Job summary

Optima Living is seeking a Health Care Aide to support residents in Alberta with daily living activities, medications, and compassionate care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver respectful, person-centered care that respects independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program.
• Current registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Medication Administration course and annual recertification is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications must be maintained.
• Food Safe certification is an asset.
• Computer literacy is required.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility, bathing, dressing, grooming and meals.
• Administer and document medications per care plans and policies.
• Collaborate with care teams to develop and implement resident service plans.
• Respond to call bells and resident requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accuracy in documentation and reporting changes to supervisors.
• Support infection control and safety procedures and participate in audits.
