Job summary

Community Living Essex County is seeking a Manager, Community Living Supports to provide leadership and oversight of community-based services, ensuring person-centered supports that promote inclusion, independence, and meaningful participation.

You will lead frontline teams, manage budgets and resources, ensure compliance with legislation and agency policies, and collaborate with families, partners, and the leadership team to achieve positive outcomes for the people we serve.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in a Human Services or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or in a related human services field.
• Minimum one (1) year of leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and review of person-centered support plans.
• Ensure services promote individual choice, dignity, rights, and community inclusion.
• Monitor service quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to support workers and other assigned staff.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management processes.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
• Conduct staff meetings, performance reviews, and workforce planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned residential and community support locations.
• Manage budgets and resources responsibly, ensuring effective stewardship of organizational assets.
• Monitor expenditures and identify operational or financial concerns.
• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of administrative and reporting requirements.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with individuals supported, families, community partners, and other professionals.
• Represent the organization on committees, working groups, and community initiatives as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues across programs to support organizational goals and service excellence.
• Contribute as an active member of the management team.
• Support cross-functional initiatives and provide coverage to management colleagues as needed.
