Job summary

Connective Support Society seeks a Program Manager to lead and develop our client-focused programs in a collaborative, policy-driven environment. You will coordinate staff, budgets, and safety standards while ensuring services align with funder guidelines and community needs.

The role requires a bachelor's degree or professional designation with 5+ years in community living, mental health, or related fields, and strong leadership, communication, and administrative skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or professional designation with at least 5 years of relevant transferable experience
• Extensive experience in Community Living, Mental Health and Criminal Justice systems
• Experience managing day-to-day community-based programs, case planning, and related techniques
• Excellent verbal and written English communication
• Knowledge in group process, individual counseling and crisis management
• Experience hiring, training and supervising staff
• Ability to motivate and organize a staff team
• Strong administrative skills and governance understanding

Responsibilities

• Implements and promulgates policies and procedures, and develops manuals for the program
• Hires, supervises, evaluates, and terminates staff as needed to meet program goals
• Manages shift schedules and staff coverage
• Provides orientation, supervision, and training for staff and volunteers
• Maintains documentation of staff and contractor files and records
• Oversees financial and administrative aspects of the programs
• Designs inclusive support programs and ensures funder guidelines are met
• Liaises with Connective staff for referrals and program opportunities
• Coaches staff and service users through person-centered planning
• Maintains relationships with community services and government agencies
• Ensures facilities meet safety regulations and remain safe and welcoming
• Handles on-call coverage for emergencies and health and safety duties
• Coordinates recruitment, training, development across teams
• Supports OSH initiatives and participates in safety investigations
• Manages coordination and administration of other teams and programs
